OUR STORY
“THE PERFECT FILMING LOCATION”
After our first encounter here, we knew there was something special
about this space.
Maybe it was our long-term background in video production and photography, but we were hooked, and we frequently found ourselves revisiting the location now known as Clybourn Studios to create various content, including projects for well-known clients from Disney to Nickelodeon.
Upon further investigation we learned that our property had already been used as a filming location before we bought the space.
We knew we had to help develop it into something ready for all demands of a modern industry—all while retaining its charm, of course! And soon thereafter we found ourselves discussing the possibility of acquiring the estate in total! And now, after a complete remodel and update of the photography studio as well as the more recent creation of our state-of-the-art recording studio, we are excited to offer an even greater abundance of opportunities for those who come to create here at Clybourn Studios!
Having worked in the industry ourselves for over a decade, we are well aware of the all the existent hassles and inefficiencies when it comes executing projects in the L.A. area—and that of course includes parking and difficulty of unloading and reloading equipment safely and efficiently. At Clybourn studios you will find the ease of open parking directly in front of each of our studios, wholly eliminating most of the immediate problems for project set-up and teardown.
Never again will you deal with the frustration of leaving your parked vehicle unattended and far away. You will never have to hustle with your emergency signals flashing while your team rushes to and fro to unload and
reload the equipment.
There is ample space too—our fully secure lot tucked away on a gated private property can hold up to twenty vehicles! Here you will have the ability to create without the nagging concerns haunting the back of your mind about street cleaning schedules and the dreaded countdown to expired parking meters.
Come create here and feel the complete comfort and confidence that comes with knowing the only thing needing your attention during your stay here is the project you are desiring to give it to!
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We firmly believe that each creative or professional vision is uniquely special in its very own right, each with it’s own specific requirements and needs to optimize its potential. Our need-to-see versatile studio spaces are perfect for photo shoots, film shoots, music, voiceover work, audio recording, live streaming, and any number of other events—including classes, dinners, and more! With plenty of power running through the studios at 420 amps, you’ll have more than you need for just about any project you can dream! And our team feels it is of the utmost importance to make a multitude of sets and scenery options available to allow each artist the chance to bring their ideas to life exactly as they envision them.
Additionally, we provide our clients with two very different home settings with completely different atmospheres to accommodate various indoor and outdoor filming needs.
Our newly remodeled photography studio is an adaptable 1,500 square foot space with white walls and light oak wood flooring. It’s also fully furnished with its own bathroom, shower, and separate kitchen space for catering or shooting needs. The main studio is also equipped with nearly silent central heating and air so there is never a worry of disturbing productions in progress to keep the space comfortable.
The studio is fully furnished, but projects can request to use it wholly empty, with our Malibu chic living room furniture set, with seamless backgrounds, or with any combination you might wish! With in-ceiling skylights and clear doors, the space creates a giant soft box with beautiful natural lighting. Of course, we can also completely black out the space for any production that requires total control of the lighting.

The most recent addition to the Clybourn Studios lot that we are more than proud to introduce is our state-of-the-art recording studio, complete with all the top-of-the-line recording software, Barefoot speakers, a customized lighting experience utilizing Philips Hue lights and a truly mind-blowing galaxy sky star ceiling designed by Epixsky, as well as a soundproof vocal booth, and of course plenty of parking space right in front of the building. If you have your own sound engineer and producer, feel free to bring them along, if you don’t have a producer or sound engineer, no need worry! We are able to provide some of the best music producers and engineers around to assist you and your team as you make
your vision a reality!
PRODUCTION USAGE
We have a great variety of options for you to choose from for production usage as well. Beyond the in-studio sets and settings that can be utilized, created, or built, we have a number of outdoor areas that will work as perfect aesthetics or backdrops for any number of set needs. On property, Clybourn Studios also has a four-stall horse stable and four acres of hills with broad overlooks of the San Fernando Valley below, providing a gorgeous, scenic view in the day and also a uniquely romantic one by moonlight. Behind the recording studio we also have a versatile space that can be used for anything from a functional twenty+ car parking lot to an outdoor concert venue, from a set building space to a post-apocalyptic landscape. And this is just to name a couple onsite options. We also have many beautiful outdoor scenic sets that are all available for production usage.
Our team is well versed in what it takes to ensure a successful production, given that we have over a decade of background in production. If you need any aid at any point in your creative process we are more than happy to help provide perspective or guidance and can also provide staff, crew, talent, and professionals: from set builders, gaffers, and photographers to hair and makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, videographers, production designers, prop masters, caterers, and more!

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Once you drive over the bridge and water reservoir, turn right down the long, narrow driveway. Please call us to let you in the gate if it’s closed. If it’s open, drive down (past the first house) until you see the fountain. Turn left to unload at the studio door or park in the lot behind the buildings.
